Summary

Provide oversight of medical care for residents including recognizing medical issues and contacting appropriate medical personnel, family and/or responsibility parties, medication management and distribution, assisting with activities of daily living, and accepting and implementing medical orders.

Education

Requires the ability to understand moderately complex mathematical formulas. Equivalent to a four (4) year U.S. high school education and two (2) years of advanced education or equivalent specialized training with current LPN license/certification.

Experience

One year supervisory experience, preferred.

Job Duties

* Oversee medical care:
* Recognize medical issues and contact appropriate medical personnel.
* Look for changes in norm for residents.
* Communicate with family members and/or responsible parties.

* Ensure proper documentation.
* Provide direct personal assistance and supervision needed by residents including assisting residents when necessary on an individual basis with their bathing, dressing, eating, walking, going up and down steps, and attending to any personal needs the residents may be unable to attend to themselves.
* Distribute medications and properly document.
* Respond immediately in case of an accident or incident involving a resident and make a proper report of the incident.
