The IDSA Clinical Infectious Diseases Editor-in-Chief Search Committee seeks applications for the next Editor-in-Chief of Clinical Infectious Diseases.

CID is a leading journal in the field of infectious diseases with a broad international readership. Topics range from clinical descriptions of infections, HIV/AIDS, public health, microbiology and immunology to the prevention of infection, the evaluation of current and novel treatments and the promotion of optimal practices for diagnosis and treatment.

IDSA is seeking a physician scientist with a record of excellence in clinical research and wide knowledge of the field of infectious diseases to guide CID’s development and advancement over the next 5–10 years. The successful applicant will demonstrate a compelling strategic vision for the journal’s development and differentiation from the Society’s other journals and other reputable journals in the field; a profound commitment to diversity, inclusion, access and equity; excellent communication skills and an outstanding reputation for professionalism and collegiality; a collaborative leadership style; a clear understanding of trends in scientific journal publishing; an international network of colleagues; and prior editorial experience.

The Editor-in-Chief is supported by a Deputy Editor, Associate Editors, Statistical Editors, Histopathology Editors, Special Section Editors and a large and diversified Editorial Board, as well as IDSA publications staff.
