Fellowship Training Opportunity
Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant Cardiology
University Wisconsin | 2021-2022
A one-year ACGME accredited advanced training fellowship in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology is available at the University of Wisconsin, in the beautiful and livable city of Madison. Applicants to this premier program must first complete an accredited cardiovascular medicine training program and be eligible to sit for the certification board exam in Cardiovascular Diseases.
Our multi-disciplinary program, staffed by highly experienced heart failure and transplant cardiologists, provides comprehensive, innovative, evidence-based care for patients with advanced heart disease. We are one of the largest and most successful programs in the US, with high transplant and VAD volumes. The close relationship between cardiovascular medicine and cardiothoracic surgery and the strong solid organ transplant programs at UW all contribute to an outstanding academic and clinical environment for the care of advanced heart disease patients.
An added bonus to training in our program is the flexibility built into the outpatient Rotations, allowing the fellow to craft a schedule that includes exposure to niche Areas, such as amyloidosis, or to futher hone their skills in a related field such as cMR/cCT or echocardiography.
