Clinical or tenure-track or tenured faculty position in Endodontology
Temple University, Kornberg School of Dentistry, is seeking to hire a full-time faculty either in a non-tenured clinical-track, tenure-track, or tenured faculty with experience in clinical education and practice as well as scholarly activities.
Appointment to the tenure track requires an advanced graduate degree and capabilities to obtain, or a record of outstanding, funded research as well as a demonstrated record of outstanding funded research in a field relevant to endodontology.
The faculty candidate in the non-tenured clinical track should have a track record of didactic and clinical teaching as well as clinical practice and achievement in supporting research of residents or dental students.
The faculty is expected to teach in predoctoral and postgraduate programs of the department including supervising endodontic care in outreach sites. Salary and Academic rank are commensurate with experience and credentials.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must have a Certificate in endodontics from a CODA accredited postgraduate program, graduate teaching experience and practice, and capability to supervise Master of Sciences theses of endodontic residents. Candidates must also have or be eligible for either full licensure to practice dentistry or a teaching license in Pennsylvania. Preference will be given to candidates who have an American board certification in endodontics.
In addition, candidates must demonstrate a record of leadership, administrative, and organizational skills with the ability to manage complex curricular and clinical issues to lead the department in an active phase of growth and change. Candidates must also have experience in new pedagogical methods including patient-centered and evidence-based oral health care.
