About The Position
Summary:

• Long Term Care RN/LPN provides care to patients with chronic conditions and prolonged illnesses.
• Long-term care is a range of services that supports a patient/resident meet their daily needs.
• Most long-term care is not medical care, but rather assistance with the basic personal tasks of everyday life called Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as Bathing, Dressing.
• Reports to Supervisor of Unit.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receives and provides adequate reports on all patients.
• Assesses, plans, and implements client care.
• Receives and transcribes doctor's orders.
• Assists with physical examinations, makes round of assigned clients following guidelines of institution.
• Wound care , including identify Stasic Ulcers.
• Administering oxygen, changing dressings.
• Inserts and irrigates urinary catheters.
• Administers and documents Medications.
• Obtains laboratory specimens.
• Administers CPR and other emergency procedures as necessary.
• Assist patients/residents with Activities of Daily Living.
• Assist with transfer to physical therapy and other Daily activities.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• RN /LPN license in good standing.
• Must have one year of experience in LTC.
• Graduate of accredited Nursing School.
• Must have current AHA BLS.
