About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse **Job Specialty:** Medical / Surgical **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** 11.5 hours, 19:00-07:00 (12 Hour PM-AM), Day/Night Rotation ONLY - 36 or 48 hours/week **Guaranteed Hours:** 48 **Experience:** Minimum years of experience not specified **License:** Registered Nurse License **Certifications:** Not specified **Must-Have:** Orientation hours - 16.00 hours **Job Description:** - Work primarily with medical patients as opposed to surgical. - Care for patients with a variety of acute or chronic illnesses such as: - Sepsis - Various infectious processes - Acute kidney injury or chronic kidney disease (hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis) - Diabetes - GI issues - Fluid/electrolyte imbalances - Alcohol withdrawal - Liver disease - Substance misuse - Endocarditis - Heart disease - Skin/wound issues - Acute and chronic respiratory illnesses including COPD, flu, pneumonia, and Cystic Fibrosis - Work in a recognized center for adult patients requiring admission to Medical Specialties. - Various patient-to-care provider ratios depending on the pod and acuity levels: - LNA to patients: 7:1, 8:1, 9:1, 10:1 - RN to patients: 3:1, 4:1, and some instances of 5:1 during nights - Use geographic advantage for more acute patient placements when possible. **Additional Notes:** The position is ideal for nurses skilled in handling diverse and complex medical conditions, providing comprehensive care, and adapting quickly to different patient needs.
