About The Position
Weekly Pay Range - $2131 To $2367 **Job Title:** Registered Nurse - Acute Leukemia Unit **Job Specialty:** Progressive Care Unit (PCU) **Job Duration:** 13 Weeks **Shift:** Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) **Guaranteed Hours:** Please inquire for details **Experience:** Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required **License:** Must have a valid compact or state nursing license **Certifications:** - Required: BLS, ONS Chemo Certification - Preferred: ACLS **Must-Have:** - Skills in MS/Tele, Telemetry Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Telemetry monitoring - Experience in Rapid Response Teams - Proficiency in feeding tube care and management, IV therapy/phlebotomy - Knowledge of blood product administration, central line blood draw, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management - Ability in starting IVs - Proficiency with EPIC for computerized charting **Job Description:** - Provide care for newly diagnosed acute leukemia patients, focusing heavily on infection prevention protocols and patient falls prevention. - Patient age group consists of adults and geriatrics. - Staffing ratio aims for 1:4, but can be 1:5 depending on unit needs. - Weekends are required based on variable unit needs. - No set/blocked scheduling; self-schedule requests are accepted for preferred schedules before finalization. - Orientation includes a first week of Monday-Friday day shift and a second week of 36 hours on-unit orientation with a preceptor. - Candidates must be responsive and cooperative with credentialing processes. - All candidates must promptly complete the fingerprinting process as part of compliance requirements. - Flu vaccine required unless medically exempt. - Candidates should be aware of the urgency of the Ohio fingerprinting process. - Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
