General Responsibilities:

Work together as a team player to help get the job done. Assist other pharmacists and technicians to take care of patients who reside in Long Term Care Communities. This pharmacy is closed to the public and so most interaction will be with nursing staff. Treat them fairly and treat your team with respect, always remembering that the patient at the nursing home is someone's mom, grandma, brother or uncle.

Workflow Responsibilities:
Ensures accuracy of prescription data entry and makes corrections as warranted
Ensures timely and accurate prescription filling performed by pharmacy technicians
Verifies purchasing is completed daily and inventory remains at an acceptable level, as defined by company standards
Ensures necessary legal documentation during all steps of filling prescriptions to meet legal requirements and reduce audit risk
Ensures all workflow areas have appropriate coverage on a day-to-day basis in coordination with the Pharmacist in Charge
Ensures proper opening and closing of pharmacy
Ensures the delivery of the Inspection Binder to Inspector immediately upon request and helps aid in an inspection when PIC is not present
Maintains adequate knowledge and participates in clinical services when appropriate
