Job Title: Open Rank, Clinical Faculty Appointment (CFA)

The Department of Pathology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston is recruiting a Surgical Pathologist with strong diagnostic expertise and research ability to join the Section of Breast Pathology. This faculty position will support diagnostic breast service and other services including frozen section and autopsy coverage. The candidate’s major responsibility will be breast diagnostic service (shared with fifteen other breast pathologists) which currently accessions 10,000 specimens per year. Successful candidate must have a strong record of scholarship and commitment to teaching at the fellowship level. Candidate must have a strong interest in independent or collaborative research with clinicians and basic science investigators. In addition, the candidate will be willing to participate in frozen sections, multidisciplinary clinical conferences, and equitable call coverage. The successful candidate will have an interest and participate in education, clinical/translational research, and clinical trial collaborative research. Must be able to rotate and travel to Houston area locations for clinical service if required.

Board certification in Anatomic Pathology, Breast training, and an active Texas medical license or eligibility are required.  Applicant must have at least 2 years of independent clinical experiences in breast pathology. Rank and salary commensurate with experience and academic credentials. Excellent benefits package will be provided.

Work Location: Hybrid

This position has a target base salary of $ 251,093 to $ 417,480 and is eligible for incentive compensation, comprehensive health, wellness, time off, savings, and retirement benefits, as well as relocation support, as applicable.
