The Department of Radiation Oncology at the New York University (NYU) Grossman School of Medicine invites applications for faulty scientist, tenure/tenure-track at all academic ranks for its Division of Cancer Biology and Translational Science (CBTS).  Applicants should have an Ph.D. or equivalent degree, possess an exceptional record of achievement in basic and/or translational research.  We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join our team with areas of interest including DNA repair, tumor immunology, genome dynamics, tumor metabolism, or tumor microenvironment.

Faculty in the Department of Radiation Oncology are members of the Laura and Isaac Perlmutter Cancer Center (PCC), an NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center.  New faculty members will be supported with generous start-up packages, excellent laboratory space, access to laboratory animal facilities, and a wide range of state-of-the-art core facilities providing services in genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, high throughput biology, bioinformatics, cell imaging, flow cytometry, and pathology. Successful candidates are expected to initiate and maintain a vigorous, independent, extramurally funded research program, participate in the NYU Grossman School of Medicine graduate programs within the Vilcek Institute and be eligible for membership in NIH-supported training programs designed to support pre- and post-doctoral trainees.

The PCC is National Cancer Institute–designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. Our scientists, researchers, and educators are at the forefront of cancer research, education and training, and community outreach. Our basic, translational, clinical, and population-based research program brings together laboratory scientists and clinical researchers to deliver the latest advances in cancer care and a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. We also study the prevention, patterns, causes, and control of cancer in diverse populations to improve public health and policy. The PCC Clinical Trials Office provides support to Radiation Oncology co-lead disease management groups which conduct a diverse array of investigator-initiated, industry supported, and cooperative group clinical trials.
