Essential Job Responsibilities
Fundraising Leadership & Strategy:
Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies to meet annual and long-term revenue goals.
Collaborate closely with the CEO and Board of Directors to cultivate key relationships, present fundraising plans, and secure major gifts.
Manage major gift programs, focusing on individuals, corporations, and foundations, with an emphasis on gifts of $50,000+.
Lead capital campaigns, annual fund efforts, and Give Miami Day campaign ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Oversee digital and peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns, incorporating innovative crowdfunding strategies to drive donor engagement and acquisition.
Donor & Stakeholder Engagement:
Create personalized donor engagement and stewardship plans, leveraging data analytics to optimize donor retention and increase giving.
Collaborate with the CEO and Board of Directors to engage key stakeholders and foster donor relationships through meetings, tours, and other strategic interactions.
Lead high-profile fundraising events such as galas, reunions, and community engagement programs, fostering donor excitement and participation.
Corporate Giving & CSR Initiatives:
Develop and manage corporate giving programs, including sponsorships and membership programs.
Collaborate with corporate social responsibility (CSR) representatives to design and execute events that align with corporate partner goals (e.g., diversity and inclusion initiatives).
Cultivate long-term partnerships with corporate donors to support capital campaigns and special events.
Grant Writing & Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with the Grants Department, which manages large federal and high-value grants, to ensure alignment on key grant opportunities.
Independently identify grant opportunities and, in some cases, write proposals for smaller or specialized grants.
In collaboration with the Grants Department, provide strategic input and participate in the writing of larger grants, ensuring alignment with fundraising goals.
Donor Communications & Marketing Collaboration:
Lead all donor-specific communications, including writing and overseeing proposals, donor newsletters, impact reports, and fundraising collateral.
Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications department to ensure messaging is consistent and aligned with overall organizational branding.
Supervise the Development Associate, ensuring they contribute to writing, donor communications, and administrative support.
Data & Reporting:
Utilize data analytics to drive fundraising strategies, donor engagement, and prospect identification, ensuring optimal use of DonorPerfect and other donor management systems.
Present regular reports on fundraising progress, donor retention, and performance metrics to leadership, including the CEO and Board.
Oversee financial reconciliation of donor contributions in collaboration with the Finance department.
Team Leadership & Mentorship:
Lead and mentor the development team, fostering a performance-oriented culture that emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and professional development.
Ensure the Development Associate and other support staff meet administrative and writing goals, providing guidance as needed.
Corporate Social Responsibility & Community Impact:
Leverage CSR programs to engage corporate partners in funding community impact events and programs aimed at underserved populations.
Develop reports and proposals that align corporate partner goals with Care Resource's mission, driving long-term corporate engagement.

Physical Requirements
This work requires the following physical activities: constant sitting, standing, talking in person, talking on the phone, hearing/ visual acuity and exposure to blood borne pathogens. Frequent walking and occasional bending, stretching and reaching may be required. Work is performed in office setting.
Other
Participates in Health Center developmental activities as requested.
Other duties as assigned.
Travel Requirements and Details:
Local travel as needed between sites and corporate events in Miami-Dade and Broward counties.
Education
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
Work Experience:
At least (5) five years of experience in development, including major gifts, corporate giving, grant writing, and capital campaigns.
Demonstrated success in managing high-net-worth donor portfolios and exceeding fundraising goals.
Strong experience in grant writing and collaboration with grants departments for both small and large grant opportunities.
Proficiency in peer-to-peer fundraising, digital campaigns, and other innovative fundraising strategies.
Experience managing donor communications, in collaboration with marketing teams, while taking responsibility for donor-specific messaging.
Experience with data analytics for prospect identification and engagement, and proficiency with donor management systems such as Donor Perfect.
Experience leading teams and collaborating with senior leadership, including the CEO and Board.
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
Skills:
Bilingual (English-Spanish and/or English-Creole) is preferred. Computer knowledge should include Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Excellent organizational, communication, problem solving, and teamwork skills are required.
