Assistant Professor in the Glaucoma Division

The Department of Ophthalmology at the University of California is seeking a glaucoma clinician-scientist to fill a full-time faculty position who will be appointed at the Assistant Professor level.

In addition to research, the candidates will provide glaucoma clinical services at one or more of our multiple Bay Area clinical sites including the San Francisco General Hospital and participate in medical student, resident, and fellow education.

Requirements:

The successful candidate is required to develop or advance an internationally recognized, independent and extramurally funded research program in the basic, translational, or clinical sciences relevant to glaucoma disease. Candidates must hold an MD or equivalent degree and have a CA license or be eligible for full, unrestricted licensure, and have completed fellowship training in glaucoma. Applicant must have all requirements met by time of hire. Applicant’s materials must list (pending) qualifications upon submission. Demonstrated teaching competency as well as demonstrated success in clinical, translational, or laboratory research are essential.
