About the Position

Internal Medicine Physicians apply scientific knowledge and clinical expertise to the diagnosis, treatment, and compassionate care of adults across the spectrum from health to complex illness.

Internal Medicine Physicians are trained in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, infections and diseases affecting the heart, blood, kidneys, joints and the digestive, respiratory and vascular systems. They are also trained in the essentials of primary care internal medicine, which incorporates an understanding of disease prevention, wellness, substance abuse, mental health and effective treatment of common problems of the eyes, ears, skin, nervous system and reproductive organs.

The purpose of this posting is to create a pool of eligible Internal Medicine Physician candidates.

ABOUT THE DIVISION
The Community Health Centers have been providing quality primary care and behavioral health services to the citizens of Lane County since 2004. We provide a broad array of services to adults and children in an outpatient setting. The CHC is the primary source for uninsured and underinsured. Our clinics are Federally Qualified Health Centers whose mission is to serve the community by offering excellent care and eliminating barriers to healthcare.

Community Health Centers of Lane County is a participant in the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program.
Schedule: 40 hours within clinic operating hours.

Training:
Graduation from an accredited school of medicine with completion of a one-year internship and/or completion of residency program in an internal medicine setting by time of appointment.

Experience:
An equivalent combination of experience and training that will demonstrate the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.

Special Requirements:

• Possession of a valid State of Oregon license as a Medical Doctor (MD)

• Eligibility for Board Certification by American Board of Internal Medicine

• DEA

• NPI

• BLS/CPR

• Diploma

• CV or Resume

• Eligibility for appointment to the medical staff at local hospitals.
