Position Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) utilizes the nursing process to coordinate the interdisciplinary approach to patient care.# He/she provides safe, therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way. He/she integrates knowledge, skills and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families through the continuum of care.# The RN collaborates with others to integrate assessment and input of the patient, family and the interdisciplinary team. He/she ensures improvements in practice settings by assuming responsibility for self-development in life-long learning.# Provides direction and guidance to others regarding practice, serves as a resource, preceptor, and mentor.# Demonstrates leadership skills in decision-making and problem solving.# The RN integrates and communicates knowledge and sensitivity to patient#s psychosocial, spiritual, cultural and age specific needs.# He/she practices within the boundaries of the Kansas Nurse Practice Act, specialty standards and organizational/departmental policies and procedures. Position Requirements: Education: 2 year/Associate degree from an accredited school of nursing required Experience: N/A Knowledge, Skills: Ability to Multi Task and Prioritize, Organizational, Verbal Communication, Assessment, Customer Relations, and Critical Thinking/Reasoning skills required License, Registration and/or Certification: Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in accordance with the Kansas Nurse Licensure Compact - Required upon hire Healthcare Provider CPR # (American Heart Association or American Red Cross ONLY) - Required within 7 days from date of hire Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 180 days of hire.# For new grads, ACLS within one year of hire.
