The Physician Assistant Department is a leader in provider clinical operations working closely with the staff to ensure outstanding patient care and a supportive environment for our academic mission.Management ofmedical/ surgical issues for our inpatient populationAdmission History & PhysicalsPost-operativechecks with neurologic assessmentsTriage and prioritize patient issues including medical and surgical issues, discharges, etc.Complete Emergency Admissions when applicableCollaborate with surgeon, internist and/or hospitalists, specialists and ancillary staff regarding patient careParticipate in the huddles and interdisciplinary rounds as applicableOutpatient clinic coverage for select services

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must have the following:Bachelor's degree from an accredited PA program; Master's preferredCurrent NYS Physician Assistant license and registrationBLS/ACLS certificationNCCPA board certificationis requiredInfection Control certificationCompletion of a child abuse recognition courseDEA required upon hireHave excellent communication and be a teamplayerPossess strong clinical skillsHospital for Special Surgery offers a unique work environment, diverse job types and extraordinary career opportunities.
