CHS in Beloit, WI seeks a full-time General Dentist to join our growing Dental Team.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Provides direct patient care and treatment.
- Examines teeth and diagnoses patients' dental conditions.
- Assists with reviews and recommending changes in dental clinic policies, procedures, and protocols as needed to achieve Community Health Clinic goals.
- Assists in the provision of continuing education, on-the-job training, and the orientation of community health center staff as requested.
- Actively participates in and supports Quality Assessment/ peer review and improvement activities in the organization.
- Attends appropriate meetings and conferences as required to promote clinic goals.
- Participates in clinic committees as requested.
- Assists with Supervising, evaluations, and training of dental support staff; such as dentists, hygienists, dental assistants and student interns.
- Assists Billing Office staff in obtaining necessary information to assure accurate and timely billing and appropriate collections.
- Participates in all safety programs which may include assignment to an emergency response team.
- Actively participates and is accountable for duties assigned that support the Mission and Values of being certified as a Patient Centered Medical Home.
- Monthly/weekly reviews dental data and develops reports in Dental EMR.
- Evaluates Dental provider's documentation in EMR system.
- Other duties as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
- Graduate of an accredited dental school with DDS or DMD degree required.
Licensing
- Licensed in Wisconsin to practice Dentistry.
- Maintain current DEA registration number.
Related Work Experience
- 3+ years' experience required.
- 5+ years' experience preferred.
- Experience in public health setting preferred, though not required.
